An Invitation To Celebrate: loving ourselves and others is what life is all about.

March 29, 2017

When was the last time you felt genuine joy for yourself or another person?

Can you imagine a world without celebration? What a sad and dark place it would be, yet we pass up the opportunity to celebrate all the time.
  • We think we don't know a person well enough.
  • We can't think of anything meaningful to say.
  • We don't feel happy with ourselves.
  • We're envious or feel like we've been deprived.
Every time you are invited to celebrate is a chance to grow, connect, and embody the feeling of appreciation. Congratulations is a fantastic word, and an even better soul-enriching experience is celebration.

Now here is another thought: Have you ever asked others to celebrate with you?

Recently, I made this request and the experience was profound. These joint celebrations created closeness and jubilation, both in myself and in those who could celebrate with me.

We trust people who have genuine happiness for us, and we trust ourselves even more when we have the courage to ask for it. Consider this a call to action: Take a closer look at your contributions and realize the power of celebration.

Do our loved ones celebrate with us on the others side? You bet they do. In their life review, they noticed these "missed chances." That's why messages from the other side frequently say, "Life itself is a celebration, and that loving ourselves/others is what living is all about."

Within time, congratulating people can become second nature, and it can feel like the celebration is happening to you, too. Asking others to celebrate with you takes bravery, but the risk and awkwardness provide undeniable rewards.

This celebration topic might sound simple or even cliché, but I assure you it's not. With a little forethought, this attribute will develop in you, and you will find your life more fulfilling.

I care very much for your well-being. As always, I am here to support your life journey.
Until next time,
Suzi
